I'm still amazed by your recent BCF model, which just pushed all the buttons for me.<br /><br />What I came back with from the USA was a sense of frustration at how American railroading tends to be represented in the UK. In many ways the railways of Pennsylvania run through a very British landscape and it would be nice to see that reflected on the exhibition circuit rather than so many layouts that are so self consciously American that they become a parody of the genre. That American layout that has been lurking at the back of my mind has quietly transformed from a lakeside grain silo to an overgrown canalside with that brilliant lifting bridge at Williamsport as a centerpiece.
