Last week we had a visit from Libby, who, many, many years ago, was a paper girl for my parents' newsagents in Bournville It was lovely to see her reminiscing with Mum, but we also tried to show her something of what Stoke has to offer.
As well as a trip into the Peak District, we took her to Middleport. We have been there several times, but this was the first time we've done the self-guided heritage tour. Having done the factory tour, this was still excellent value for money, giving a different perspective and more access to some of the archive collections. In fact, although self-guided, we had a very knowledgeable guide for the first half.
